Choosing a Transport method for Print2Fax
With Print2Fax you have your choice of 3 Transport options to choose from. They all perform the same task but each with a different user experience defined by your needs.
Transport Method | Description |
---|---|
Simple Email Transport | Simple Email Transport will look familliar to most people as its defining diference is that it uses your outlook to send faxes that you print using Print2Fax with your Concord Account. With your outlook open, printing a document to the Concord Fax Printer will automatically open a new email message and attach the document for sending. |
Extended Email Transport | With Extended Email Transport the primary difference is that you will not see any Email interface. When you print a document you will see a Print2Fax window with your attachment and an interface to enter additional information to send your document. Your Submission uses an Outlook profile that you have configured and is your validated Concord sending email address. Like Simple Email Transport your Outlook must be open for the document to be sent, if Outlook is closed the fax will not be sent until Outlook is opened. |
Direct Submission to Concord Transport | Direct submission is the Transport you would use if you wanted to bypass your Email client altogether. With your Fax Online account configured your submissions will use only the simple Print2Fax interface to send your faxes. |
